Let us explain.The Hyperchips brand is an affectionate father to his loyal pack of renegades providing them with knowledge, protection, and a solid moral code to live by. A very strong character, who is a caretaker and always “puts the Hyperchips family first” and is very protective of them. Hyperchips recalls the influence his father had on him in the early days as a mechanic. After helping his sister with her homework everyday and sending her to bed, he would stay up late reading the latest car magazine, to make sure he knew everything there was to know about cars. On Sundays, the family would attend church and host a barbecue for the neighbourhood. If you didn’t go to church, you didn’t get any barbecue.
WE RACE ROUND THE TRACK TOGETHER
The avatar itself is based on a chequered flag, The chequered flag is displayed at the start/finish line to indicate that the race is officially finished but for us… the race had just begun. We were gunning for first place and were not going to stop until we had it! The flag is commonly associated with the winner of a race and this is what it feels like once you’ve had your vehicle in with Hyperchips. It is on an angle and used as a square like this to represent the chip part of the Hyperchips branding name, clever arn’t we?
STAYING ON TRACK
We wanted every element of this brand to nudge to the track. The logo is the visual cornerstone of the branding. The logo itself is set in the italicised version of the font to give the feel of speed and in many short tracks, the flagman gives the chequered flag to the winner of the race and they parade it out of the window. The logo represents a flag blowing in the wind as its held out of the car on his victory lap. And guess what? First place, every time. Thank you very much haters.
